Swimming Lessons in Piedmont, CA
Located near Oakland, Piedmont is a small, mostly-residential suburban city. The city is named after the Italian region of Piedmont which translates to mean “foothill”. In the Roaring Twenty’s, Piedmont was known as the “City of Millionaires” because there were more millionaires per square mile than in any other city in the U.S.
Regardless of whether or not you’re a millionaire, there are plenty of cost-efficient and family friendly activities. Trips out to the water are always popular, and destinations like Lake Anza and the Tilden Regional Park are often favorites among visitors and residents alike. Likewise, the Redwood Regional Park offers vast woodlands with a variety of trails and campgrounds. These woodlands could be a great place to take your family, or also a nice location to escape for a weekend with friends.
Unlike most of Southern California, Piedmont has lower temperatures, averaging between 40-60 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the year. While this might not be ideal beach weather, there are a variety of indoor swimming pools that are available for public use. A community pool is the perfect place to either book a swimming lesson or host a party and hire a lifeguard for safety of the group. The Swimming Swan’s team of Veteran Swimming Instructors, Coaches and Lifeguards are hand selected by their experience, certifications and professionalism.
