Red Cross Certified Lifeguard?


The Swimming Swan has partnered with a Third Party Lifeguard Certification Company in providing Certification Courses to our Team and to the Public. This is a 2 Day Blended Learning Class that will teach you everything you need to know to be a successful Lifeguard. 


Our blended learning Lifeguarding Classes combine the traditional classroom environment along with online learning options. Our blended learning classes combines both in-person and online coursework for a total time commitment of 19 hours and 30 minutes in-person and 7 hours and 30 minutes of online work. Certifications remain in a current status for two (2) years. 

Lifeguard Certifications include CPR and First Aid.

Lifeguard Requirements:

  • Minimum age: 15 years (depending on state)
  • Swim distance using front crawl (freestyle) or breaststroke without resting: 300 yards.
  • Feet-first surface dive, retrieve a 10-lb. brick, and bring it to the surface.
  • Tread water without using arms for 1 minute.
