The Swimming Swan is excited to begin hiring for the upcoming Spring and Summer 2023 Season. We’re hiring for all positions at the Christopher High School Aquatics Center in Gilroy, California!

Bonuses
- Referral bonuses of up to $150 once new hire fulfills 90 days of work
- $250 bonus for any new applicants that get hired to work and finish out the summer season at CHS in Gilroy. First payout of $75 on 6/30, Second payout of $100 on 8/15, Third payout of $75 on 10/31
Open Positions
LIFEGUARD/SWIM INSTRUCTOR – APPLY HERE
Dual Lifeguard + Swim Instructor position unless otherwise decided.
- Weekday shift: Tuesday – Thursday
- Weekend shift: Friday – Sunday
Qualifications
- Must be at least 15 years of age.
- Strong swimming experience preferred.
- Current and valid ARC or equivalent certification including but not limited to Lifeguard, CPR First Aid, and AED preferred.
- Ability to pass pre-employment verbal skills, swim, and in-water skills tests.
- Strong customer service background preferred.
Pay Rates: $18.25 – $19 hourly
20-25 hours per week
HEAD LIFEGUARD – APPLY HERE
Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age with a High school Diploma or equivalent.
- Current and valid ARC or equivalent certification including but not limited to: Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, AED
- Current LGI Lifeguard Instructor Certification required
- 3+ year(s) lifeguard experience preferred
- Ability to pass pre-employment verbal, swimming, and in-water skills test
- Flexible schedule required
- Strong customer service background preferred
Pay: $19.75 – $20 hourly

ASSISTANT POOL MANAGER – APPLY HERE
Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age with a High school Diploma or equivalent.
- Current and valid ARC or equivalent certification including but not limited to: Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, AED.
- Strong customer service background.
- Current LGIT Lifeguard Instructor Trainer Certification preferred
- 3+ year(s) lifeguard experience required
- 1+ years lifeguard experience in a leadership role required
- Enrolled into the American Red Cross Lifeguard Manager Certification Course within 30 days of Hire.
- Enrolled in an AFO or CPO course within 30 days of Hire.
- Ability to pass pre-employment verbal, swim, and in-water skills tests
Hours & Pay
- Starts at $21 hourly
- 30-35 hours weekly
- Weekends and holidays

AQUA FITNESS INSTRUCTOR – APPLY HERE
Qualifications
- Candidates must be 18 years of age with a HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Current and valid ARC or equivalent certification including but not limited to: CPR, First Aid, AED
- Current Aquatic Fitness or Water Aerobics Certification through the following recognized organizations: ASFA, AEA, AFPA or equivalent certification pending approval from management.
- Ability to pass pre-employment verbal skills and program design tests.
- Ability to successfully complete The Swimming Swan LLC. “On-Boarding” training and testing.
- All applicants are subject to a background screening and drug testing.
- 1+ year(s) of aqua aerobics or 2+ year(s) of group fitness/personal training experience, in a leadership role preferred.
- Flexible schedule required.
- Strong customer service background preferred.
