Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid/AED Training

2 Hour Course

The primary purpose of the courses in the American Red Cross Lifeguarding program is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to: 

  • Prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. 
  • Provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) professionals take over. 

 

This is a Blended Learning Course with online coursework, classroom and in-water skills tests. The 7 hour online portion of this course must be completed prior to the first day of class.

 

We offer both community certification courses and private workplace lifeguard trainings where our Instructors travel to your location.

Red Cross Lifeguard Certification

Prerequisites

  • Participants must be at least 15 years of age on the first day of class
  • Complete Red Cross 7 Hour Online Coursework, must print out verification of completion and bring to the first day of in-class session
  • Pass Swim Test for Deep Water Lifeguarding Class: 300 yard continuous swim of Front Crawl or Breaststroke
  • Pass Swim Test for Shallow Water Lifeguarding Class: 100 yard continuous swim of Front Crawl or Breaststroke
